02 — Program and Process Management
From Unstructured Activities to Focused Workshops
While facilitating dance workshops for people experiencing social isolation, cultural disconnection, or seeking greater wellbeing, I noticed that some sessions lacked structure. Activities involving emotional expression often needed more time, which affected flow and made it difficult to measure impact.
To improve this, I took an active role in planning and coordination, helping the team make workshops more organised and effective by:
Linking activities to clear goals – Ensured each activity aligned with the program’s purpose and the organisation’s values.
Creating a workshop planning form – Defined scope, time allocation, and expected outcomes to balance structure and flexibility.
Collecting feedback and data – Worked with my manager to set key indicators, measure engagement, and record insights for future sessions.
Improving time and resource management – Introduced a flexible schedule that allowed for deeper participation while staying on track.
As a result, the workshops became more structured, engaging, and adaptable. We achieved better time management, stronger alignment with program goals, and a practical framework that made future sessions easier to plan and repeat—without losing the creative and emotional essence of the experience.
